Funniest Badminton Moment

What was the funniest badminton moment that you have witnessed?

For me there have been multiple funny things... in fact, come to think of it, I don't think there's been a night of badminton where I haven't laughed at least a few times :)

For me, one of the funniest and most repetitive things would be when I return the craziest (unlikely) shot, and it continue for a number of returns in a row, where I'm running like the wind back and forth, or barely making shots over and just getting lucky.

One time I managed to return one by diving to the ground, then they hit it back, my partner returned it, I didn't have time to get up properly so I stayed down and returned it while on my back. Then they hit it hard back to me, and I returned it again while on my back, then later getting up, still playing, returning it, again going down and returning it... :D

Last week I went for a smash, thought I'd made a good contact with the shuttle, and expecting a return shot I stood in anticipation. Everyone started laughing at me so I looked down at my racquet to see the shuttle embedded between two broken strings :(. I'm looking for help in picking a new string if you head over to the equipment forum :)

Heh, that is pretty funny.

I had a guy completely obliterate the birdie after smashing it a couple of weeks ago.

if me and my partner are up by a good amount and the enemy hits it high above 5 ft over the net then he will get down and i use his back as a step and i get about 8 ft high then i smash it and its GAME OVER.

When I was more of a beginner, I had a beginner partner playing with me against more skilled opponents. We'll call out a play "Lion-Tiger combo." When the shuttlecock flies high and drops just in the middle of the court, he'll smash it but miss it intentionally deceiving our opponents and then me right behind him will smash it or drop it in front of their net. :)
