Tennis Elbow

What exactly is tennis elbow? I've heard the term plenty of times but don't know what it is.

And is there such a thing as badminton elbow?

I think it's somewhat an injury in the elbow when it's strained too much. You tend to develop it in badminton as well if you have a bad swing. I think I have that already. :( Every after game or even during/in between games, my elbow hurts.
